On February 8, the Saratov Region Governor Dmitriy Ayatskov took part in a solemn meeting of the regional scientific community, dedicated to the Russian Science Day. The solemnities were held at the Saratov State University named after NG Chernyshevskiy. According to Dmitriy Ayatskov, the issues concerning Saratov research development were discussed yesterday at the meeting with the Chairman of the RF Government Mikhail Fradkov. The RF Prime Minister promised to consider the proposal of the Saratov Region Governor to establish in the Region one of the largest industrial parks.
For the conscientious work and high proficiency a number of scientists and researchers have been awarded Honor Certificates, valuable prizes and the Badges of Honor "For Love to Native Land" of the Saratov Region Governor. Everybody who wanted could visit an exhibition of innovative developments presented by the Saratov State University scientists in the foyer of the University. Presently, more than 40 research institutions operate in the Region. Three university complexes have become the largest scientific centers, making research in natural, public, applied sciences and humanities.
